The Award Ceremony will take place in the Chemistry Department on May 19, 2017. The winners will receive prizes.
The results of the 2017 Wisconsin Crystal Growing Competition among middle and high school students will be announced at the ceremony.
Pre-award ceremony activities
If you are bringing minors – please print out and fill out the Photo-Release-Form. Photos taken at the award ceremony will be used to publicize the Contest.
9:00 am. Self-guided tours of the UW-Madison campus and Geology Museum begin at the he Shain Chemistry building (1101 University ave). A limited number of campus guides will be available in the Shain atrium. The geology museum guide (23 pages) is detailed and informative – you are encouraged to print it out ahead of time. You’ll need about 90 minutes for the campus tour and 60 minutes for the Geology museum tour.
